McDermott Suite Reservation
Guidelines
- The McDermott Suite is exclusively available for reservation and use by UT Dallas faculty and staff members. Student or student group reservations are not permitted for this space.
- Events cannot be held at times when the library building is closed (view detailed building hours).
- Requests for the McDermott Suite should ideally be made as far in advance as possible. The suite must be requested at least 48 business hours prior to the event to ensure adequate time to process the request.
- McDermott Suite Capacity:
- Dining room capacities: 80-person seated meal or 100-person lecture seating.
- Suite capacity: 150-person reception.
- Small conference room capacity: 12-person seated.
- The requester assumes responsibility for all event arrangements, including catering, facilities, media (internal AV services are not provided in the space at this time, so you must contact Media Services), and parking.
- Catering services must be arranged through Chartwells.
- Custodial services must be arranged for event cleanup via your Facilities Management work order.
- Please ensure that your request form includes adequate time allocations for event setup and breakdown.
- If you require cocktail tables or staging, please submit the appropriate reservation form.
- Reminder: Access to the building during construction of the new student union building is restricted to the west entrance that faces the plinth/current student union.
